The Yankees swept their doubleheader against the Angels on Thursday and there were a few heroes for the Yankees. On the offensive side, Matt Carpenter, Gleyber Torres, Aaron Judge, and Anthony Rizzo all had big hits for the Yankees. On the pitching side, both Nestor Cortes and Jameson Taillon had great performances with Taillon nearly pitching a perfect game. (He lost it in the eighth) The Yankees lost the lead in the eighth inning but Anthony Rizzo hit a two-run single to put the Yankees up and they completed the sweep. Plus, we have a preview of the series against the Detroit Tigers that starts on Friday and Stacey mentions Jonathan Schoop's name way more than it probably should be mentioned.
