After seeing a LOT of Nationals fans unhappy with the Lerner's family contract offer over the summer, it's time to revisit it. And after the trade, people trashed them for the offer and some said it was a "joke" of an offer. Well, Ryan is here to tell you that it was not a joke of an offer. Has anyone seen the contracts given out to free agents this year? Yes, AAV may still be the hot lingo in baseball, but it's also about the long term value of one. So, you're telling me a $450 million dollar offer is a joke? Well, Ryan tells you why it is no where close to a joke deal. In fact, they put their best foot forward, and made the highest bid possible. He declined, and the Nats may have gotten into the better side of the deal. After that, the Nats rebooted their farm system, and some guys are not that far away from the majors. Ryan dives into the future of the team and projects when the Nats could be competitive again. Then, Ryan discusses the possibility of the MLB carrying a salary "floor".
