The Vixen is one of Chicago's brightest fiercest queens. She grew up immersed in the city's South Side neighborhood, surrounded by a large supportive family. As a child, her creative pursuits were encouraged fostered. In college, she explored numerous disciplines. Unable to dedicate herself to just one, she found the best possible vehicle to combine them all - DRAG.
As a visual artist, singer, dancer, costumer, and more, The Vixen is an interdisciplinary queen with a keen eye distinctive perspective. Not only is she a staple of the Windy City's ever-growing drag scene, but she comes from a sisterhood of queens that includes Lucy Stoole, Dida Ritz, Shea Couleé. Her drag family has been one of the driving forces behind her ascension in the nightlife scene, due to their love support.
In our interview, we get down to business and talk about her monthly show, Black Girl Magic, her feature on Shea's new visual EP, race relations in Chicago's drag community, and home improvement!
