For this week's second podcast review, Josh Parham, Dan Bayer & I talk about Netflix's final awards hopeful for the season: "The Two Popes." Starring Jonathan Pryce and Anthony Hopkins in what is mostly a two-hander between two acting legends, director Fernando Meirelles and screenwriter Anthony McCarten's depiction of these two holy but still flawed individuals is one of the year's biggest surprises. Filled with nuance and flourish, the film throws a lot at its audience but still manages to be entertaining and soulful. Did we have some issues? Sure.
