Guest: Paula Michaels is an Associate Professor of History at Monash University, Australia. Her work bridges the histories of Eastern and Western Europe, integrating the USSR into a pan-European and global narrative through the study of social and cultural history. She is the author of Curative Powers: Medicine and Empire in Stalin’s Soviet Central Asia published by the University of Pittsburgh Press and Lamaze: An International History published by Oxford University Press.
