One of the greatest cold case mysteries in history- a man is found dead lying on a beach in South Australia.on the morning of December 1, 1948. He is wearing business attire, and is lying with his head slightly propped up on the embankment behind him with his legs crossed. An unsmoked cigarette is on the lapel of his jacket. There are no signs of a struggle and no wounds on his body. He is in his mid 40's and carries no ID. The labels have been removed from his clothing. An autopsy is performed and poison is suspected. No one claims him. Clues turn up in the following weeks and months that indicate a relationship with an unmarried nurse whose house is just 400 meters from the spot where he is found- yet she is found and denies knowing who he is. Years later all signs point toward the man as being the father of her only son.
