We’re back once again to find that football still seems to be a rich vein of absurdity even when there isn’t actually any football, and face up to the idea that our show might actually be better when there isn’t any.

Admittedly this has been helped by some classic and very welcome outside-the-box-thinking from Ian Holloway, John Hartson’s “elaborate golf hole” idea and Torquay United discovering that they have a hell of an athlete among their ranks.

We also found time to talk George Lazenby, around the house holiday clothes and the contents of Pete’s cupboards, while there’s seismic change afoot as for the very first time, we open the doors to Pete’s Film Club.
