Guest: Magdalena Stawkowski is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology and a faculty associate at the Walker Institute for International Studies at the University of South Carolina. She’s the author of several articles, most recently “Radiophobia Had to Be Reinvented,” published in Culture, Theory and Critique in 2017 and “Life on an Atomic Collective: The Post-Soviet Retreat of the State in Rural Kazakhstan,” published Études Rurales also in 2017.
