Submit ReviewWelcome to another episode of The Suitcase & The Scribe with Mike McKenna and Scott Burnside.
The week's news isn't based on sports, but the Russians' invasion of Ukraine has trickled into the sporting world regarding athletes' future. Mike and Scott gave their thoughts on the IIHF banning Russia and Belarus from tournaments and the possibility of banning players from the NHL.
They also jumped in the comments made by Alex Ovechkin and Dominik Hasek.
Following that, they dove into the NHL talk, and the first topic on the list was Kyle Davidson as the new General Manager of the Chicago Blackhawks.
Along with that, the playoff race is still ultimately alive in the Eastern Conference. The Columbus Blue Jackets continue to pressure while the Washington Capitals keep dropping games.
Another big question in the western conference is the fate of the Vegas Golden Knights. What are their chances of playing the postseason with all the injuries they've had? Then you also have the Winnipeg Jets and Anaheim Ducks still hoping to keep their playoff dreams alive.
They then closed out the show with the first edition of the DoorDash mailbag. You can submit your questions each week via Twitter.
