Yesterday, there was a hearing on the motion to vacate the conviction of Adnan Syed, the subject of the first seasons of the podcasts Serial and Undisclosed. I sat down with some podcast friends to discuss Serial, its impact on us, and the motion to vacate. We had anticipated the hearing to be done by the time we recorded, but there was a motion to postpone and then a recess. So we hopped on to record as scheduled and the decision was announced while we were recording. So, towards the end, you will hear our reactions to the news as well as a snippet from the press conference afterwards.  Hae Min Lee deserves justice and the first step towards that is to make sure the right person is convicted. When the state cannot stand by a conviction, justice demands a new investigation and a retrial.  Music by Scott Buckley Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
