With festivals and arts events dropping like flies at the moment, it's a minor miracle when any New Zealand event makes it to the finish line. But the New Zealand Fringe Festival does minor miracles all the time. For 32 years, the Wellington-based Fringe has turned into a powerhouse, open-access arts festival.
