The Jacksonville Jaguars used the Franchise Tag with hopes of a long term extension for Evan Engram. While I think it's smart to retain one of QB Trevor Lawrence's top targets from a year ago, I think Doug Pederson's ability to get the best from Engram shows the positional value in this teams' offense. Therefore none of the expected 4 slots should be reserved for roster filler or special teams type players. Everyone needs to have a high ceiling for potential development as a future starter.
