On today's Locked On Giants podcast, host Ben Kaspick discusses the San Francisco Giants' 6-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night. Anthony DeSclafani gave up a leadoff home run to Jesse Winker, but that would be the only run the Reds scored against him in seven otherwise superb innings. At the plate, the Giants struck out 17 times, but they grinded against Reds starter Luis Castillo, and Alex Dickerson connected for a clutch three-run home run against him. Brandon Crawford homered in the late innings as well. The Giants' offense as a whole has been thriving the last couple of years with patience and power, and that is nothing but a good thing. As Ben stresses, don't worry so much about the strikeouts. Last night's high total was an outlier, anyway.
