Just when we thought we’d escaped the Grinch at Christmas, the Super League came back through the window with a thud bearing gifts and all. A new, 64-team format has been proposed by A22 - the company behind it all - which would see it replace the current European competitions, and would involved relegations and promotions based on merit.
