But first, here’s the latest news from the podcasting world. World Podcast News Patreon has updated its terms, privacy policy and community guidelines Patreon, a crowd-funding service popular with podcasters, has updated its terms, privacy policy and community guidelines. The major change comes via splitting the sites campaign system into 3 tiers: Patreon Lite, Pro and Premium. The existing system saw Patreon take a 5% cut from creators, which remains the same on Patreon Lite, while the Pro and Premium services see an 8% and 12% fee respectively. While Patreon’s new structure kicked off in May, creators who joined prior to the change will be granted the use of Patreon Pro with the same 5% fee.    Redcircle, a podcast startup has been released - aimed at helping grow smaller podcasts  Redcircle, a podcast startup aimed at helping to grow smaller podcasts, has been released. Offering free hosting, analytics access, distribution help, and other features designed for the smaller-scale creator, Redcircle’s cross-promotion feature is the platforms major drawcard. The feature allows podcasters to link up with other podcasts to cross-promote their shows, provided both shows agree, and Redcircles technology determines the length of cross-promotion needed to equally benefit both parties. A maximum of 2 Redcircle cross-promotional ads can be used per episode, as well as standard advertising still being able to be utilised by shows. Facebook co-founder, Mark Zuckerberg has released a podcast  Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg has released his first ever podcast, titled ‘Tech and Society’. Zuckerberg hosts a series of discussions on the future of technology and the internet and how it will affect society. There are 3 episodes available now on Spotify, with Zuckerberg joined by a variety of guests including a Harvard law professor, the CEO of the largest news publisher in Europe, and an author and historian.    That’s the podcast news from around the world this week. Featuring The Ringer’s Bill Simmons and a roundtable cast of Ringer staffer’s, The Rewatchables breaks down the movies they can’t stop watching. The latest episode revisits the 2004 comedy classic ‘Mean Girls’. The Sounding Board If you want to keep up with all things Australian Sports in bite-sized doses, then The Sounding Board may be for you. Two of Australia’s top sports journalists, Craig Hutchison and Damien Barrett of Crocmedia, discuss all the hot topics in the Australian Football League and general Australian sports. Kinda Funny Games Daily If you had a strong opinion on the recent Sonic the Hedgehog trailer, check out the ‘Kinda Funny Games Daily’ podcast and their latest episode - which includes their reaction to the trailer.
