With less than three weeks to go until the start of the 2022 NFL season, the Cleveland Browns are making cuts. On Monday, the Browns waived five players to trim their roster to 80 players ahead of the deadline to do so at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday.

The Browns' five cuts didn't come as a surprise, but provide some clarity as to what the team's Week 1 roster might look when NFL teams are required to cut down to 53 players on Tuesday, Aug. 30. Currently, Cleveland possesses the following number of players at each position:

Quarterback: 4

Running back: 6

Fullback: 1

Wide receiver: 10

Tight end: 6

Offensive tackle: 6

Offensive guard: 7

Center: 2

Defensive end: 7

Defensive tackle: 6

Linebacker: 9

Cornerback: 8

Safety: 6

Kicker: 1

Punter: 1

Longsnapper: 1
