The Cincinnati Reds signed 10 total International Prospects, including the No. 3 ranked prospect in Ricardo Cabrera, over the weekend. Jeff is joined by Lindsay Crosby (Locked On MLB Prospects) to break down the players who were signed and the impact they have on the Reds future. Ricardo Cabrera has the "potential Five Tool player" tag on him and shows a ton of promise for the Cincinnati Reds. Anthuan Valencia has a good glove and may be undervalued. Esmith Pineda has a lot of power and could be a future Reds corner outfielder. The top three guys in this international signing class are really intriguing, says Lindsay Crosby.

Ben Walmsley, an Australian, leads a group of three pitchers who are in the other seven International Prospects signed by the Cincinnati Reds. They also added Lisnerkin Lantigua and Nelfri Payano, both right-handed pitchers, to their group of signings. The Cincinnati Reds put together an intriguing International Signing Class.

The Cincinnati Reds strategy, when it comes to the International Signing Period, differs from other teams and they have used that to their advantage. They don't focus solely on one area, and also look outside of the Dominican Republic and Venezuela, two countries saturated with MLB scouts from other teams. Instead they look to Panama, Australia, and more for diamonds in the International Signing Period rough.
