A sweep over the Pittsburgh Pirates erased some of the damage from a six-game losing streak, but a new contender has emerged in the National League Central. Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe look at the Cincinnati Reds and what type of danger they present, just a half-game behind first-place Milwaukee. Was the weekend against Pittsburgh indicative of a Brewers team that has found something or a Pirates team that can't keep pace in the chase? Milwaukee got some key players back (Wade Miley, Jesse Winker) and added a newcomer (Raimel Tapia) while Sal Frelick is also back to full speed in the minors. Should we expect to see him soon? Joey Wiemer's star turn continues, Eric Lauer is optioned back to AAA, Devin Williams has his first major hiccup of the season and Christian Yelich has become the team's steadiest hitter. Remembrew When looks back at another player who had a Teheran-like start to his Brewers career, and Curt Blanche looks ahead to the trade deadline.
