The program opens up with music from HELLRAISER by Christopher Young, which celebrates it’s 30th anniversary this year.
With the current success of Andrés Muschietti’s remake of IT, Jason goes back to 1990 and features a suite from the acclaimed TV mini-series by Richard Bellis. You’ll then hear selections from one of James Horner’s earliest score for the 1981 shape-shifting werewolf movie WOLFEN. Jason then features selections from the 1987 horror comedy THE MONSTER SQUAD by Bruce Broughton.
In honour of director Tobe Hooper, who passed away this past August. you’ll hear selections from Jerry Goldsmith’s 1982 score to POLTERGEIST.
You’ll also hear a suite 1999’s THE SIXTH SENSE by James Newton Howard and Michael Giacchino’s score for LET ME IN FROM 2010.
To end off the program you’ll hear selections from Richard Stone’s score for the cult horror/western mash-up SUNDOWN: THE VAMPIRE IN RETREAT from 1989 and a concert suite of Jerry Goldsmith Academy Award-winning score to THE OMEN from 1976.
