Karen Middleton speaks to Katharine Murphy and Gabrielle Chan about her biography of Labor’s Anthony Albanese, which told the story of how he discovered his father was alive and met him for the first time . Middleton talks about researching and writing the book over two years, including more than 40 interviews with the MP. She believes ‘he would be more than prepared’ to have another go at the party leadership but adds: ‘I don’t think he would do it while things are going well for Labor. Because he genuinely doesn’t want to be a wrecker.’ Murphy and Chan also discuss a tumultuous week dominated by Sam Dastyari and the controversy about political donations
