Oregon State has never been an easy place to recruit highly-ranked players, and Jonathan Smith in year 5 has expectations higher than they've been in Corvallis in a long time. As they push to find the best players possible, however, they were done a great disservice by the Pac-12 conference by not showcasing their performance against #7 USC to a national TV audience. Can that have an impact on recruiting?

On today's episode of Locked On Pac-12, Spencer McLaughlin is joined by the director of recruiting for Sports Illustrated, John Garcia. Colorado's struggles on the field at this point in the season have been noticeable, and the Buffaloes' recruiting efforts for the 2023 cycle may take a hit as a result.

Arizona State's program is in a state of disarray as they look for a new head coach, and how that person can recruit should be factoring into the Sun Devils' decision as their next football coach. Though they've never done so at a high level, the Sun Devils have a lot of untapped potential on the recruiting trail--and as a program overall.
