Although we got the female-driven third instalment directed by Paul Feig, this Ghostbusters film disregards it in favour of a direct sequel. Directed by Jason Reitman, Ghostbusters: Afterlife is the supernatural comedy which serves as the sequel to Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989) – both directed by Jason's father Ivan Reitman. Thanks to Accessreal, we were treated to an early screening of the film – which included an appearance by the WA Ghostbusters. When a single mother (Carrie Coon) and her two children (Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace) move to a new town, they soon discover they have a connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.
