It’s time to play the game again… again.
Directed by Jake Kasdan, Jumanji: The Next Level is the second sequel to 1995’s Jumanji, following 2017’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The cast are back from Welcome to the Jungle, reprising their roles from the previous film, alongside newcomers Awkwafina, Danny Glover, and Danny DeVito.
When Spencer (Alex Wolff) goes back into the fantastical world of Jumanji, his friends Martha (Morgon Turner), Fridge (Ser’Darius Blain) and Bethany (Madison Iseman) re-enter the game to bring him home. But with the game now broken, it sucks in Spencer’s grandfather Eddie (Danny DeVitto) and Eddie’s former friend Milo Walker (Danny Glover).
Martha finds herself as her avatar Ruby Roundhouse (Karen Gillan), yet Fridge becomes Bethany’s avatar Professor Sheldon Oberon (Jack Black), while Eddie and Milo become avatars Dr. Xander Bravestone (Dwayne Johnson) and Franklin Finbar (Kevin Hart). They must find Spencer and Bethany, and brave parts unknown from arid deserts to snowy mountains.
