The action thriller The Commuter is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, and stars Liam Neeson, Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Jonathan Banks, Elizabeth McGovern, and Sam Neil. Thanks to Anarchy PR, we were given to opportunity to attend an advanced screening of the film. Michael McCauley (played by Liam Neeson), is an ex-cop, now insurance salesman, who is on his daily commute home – taking the metro train. A mysterious stranger (played by Vera Farmiga), offers him $100,000 if he identifies a hidden passenger on his train before the last stop. As he works against the clock to solve the puzzle, he realises he is caught in midst of a deadly criminal conspiracy and that his life and the lives of his fellow passengers are at risk. Does The Commuter manage to stay on track or does the movie get derailed before the credits roll? Check out what we thought in our review (we manage to keep it relatively spoiler-free until about the 10 minute mark). The Commuter opens officially in Australia on Thursday 18th January 2018.
