What happens when you launch your podcast and then realize you're on the wrong path? Sometimes you launch with an idea or topic only to discover your passion isn't what you thought it is. How can you salvage all of that work?

On the episode today, we talk to TaVona Denise. She launched Breaking Protocol to help nurses and healthcare workers escape the industry and launch their own business.

After some time, TaVona realized many of her clients were coming to her not to launch a business, but to launch a revenue stream within the business. When that happened, the podcast didn't fit.

During our conversation, TaVona discovers how to shape her current podcast into a lead generator for her business. She also talks about potential clients fan-girling over her. That's fun.

LAUNCH

Before we jump into our conversation, I would love to help you launch your podcast in the next 30 days.

This is a course I teach live. We walk step-by-step to get your show launched.

You will get six weekly, live online classes with me to launch, grow and monetize your podcast.

You get Lifetime access to the recordings of the 6 weekly live online classes to revisit anytime you would like.

It comes with access to Podcast Fast Support Group to ask your questions and get feedback and support to create a profitable podcast successfully.

You get access to a comprehensive toolkit containing worksheets, checklists and other tools to show you how to organize your podcast launch blueprint, execute your plan in just a few minutes a day, and massively increase your downloads.

I send you a daily e-mail reminder during the program to help you consistently take action for 15 minutes each day to execute your blueprint.

To ensure you are on the right track, you get a 30-minute, one-on-one call with me.

Get the details and enroll at www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/pfb. Our next classes begin March 28. Don't miss it.

YOUR PASSION

Many podcasters quit publishing their show around the 7-episode mark. There are a few reasons for this.

First, they realize they don't love the topic as much as they thought they did. Don't let this happen to you. Talk about the things that stir your passion.

If you discover your passion isn't what you thought it was, or your passion changes, change your content. It is your show. You can do whatever you'd like.

A content pivot can happen anytime during the life of the show. Simply explain the "why" behind the shift. Then, start with the new focus on the next episode.

You may need to reference the pivot over the next five or six episodes. It cannot be assumed that your audience listens to every episode. Remind them briefly over a handful of episodes to ensure they are up to speed.

YOUR AUDIENCE

Next, podcasts fade away because the audience isn't growing as fast as the podcaster wanted it to.

Your audience doesn't instantly grow after you launch. You need a strategy.

Russell Brunson of Marketing Secrets podcast and ClickFunnels says he didn't check his stats for his first year. He says it's a good thing he didn't know how, because he probably would have gotten discouraged.

This is another reason you need to love your topic. Don't worry about the size of the audience until it is time to worry about the size of the audience. Do the work before you can reap the rewards.

MONETIZE

Finally, podcasts fade away because podcasters can't figure out how to monetize the podcast.

Again, you need a strategy. How does your content create a desire for your lead magnet? Define a strategy to get listeners to become clients or customers.

Evaluate the strategy, make refinements and don't give up.

TAVONA DENISE

In this conversation, we help TaVona Denise find her strategy to use her new podcast to drive her business. She tells us the story of her original podcast that I helped her launch and how that podcast connected with her listeners.

How can we create that same connection with this new show?

TaVona Denise helps coaches redesign their business so they can actually have the lifestyle and impact they started the business to create.

A former physical therapist, master certified coach and business mentor, TaVona is the creator of Launch Therapy™️. It is a process that helps coaches launch their group programs with ease so that they can bring in their favorite clients consistently without suffering from launch burnout or hating the process.

Enjoy the chat.
