But you also get EIGHT new segments including a special performance of one of our favorite scenes from the movie! ***Now do beware. In our spoiler section, we also spoil some plot details from Pulp Fiction. Hopefully that’s not an issue for you all cuz we’re guessing that if you’ve seen one, you’ve seen the other. But do beware. Then we pepper in almost a dozen behind the scenes anecdotes that have become legend since the movie’s debut. There is the usual non-spoiler reviews of the production values & performances before we discuss the plot with all its best & worst scenes after a spoiler warning. Of course, we also do a massive Oscar Lens, where we ponder how we’d rank this movie with other nominees from that year, & we discuss the effects on the industry at large. But here’s all the new stuff. Mike 1 does a year in review for 1992, which gives you an amazing context for how innovative this story was. We tell you our first watch stories about how we took in the film in for the first time. Our production values review features a What Made Quentin Dance segment, where we highlight the best banger of the bangin’ soundtrack. Our non-spoiler script thoughts discuss all the homages Tarantino loves to make to previous films & how he put his unique spin on the genre. Then instead of a spoiler warning dance breakdown, we get crazy & dare to perform one of our favorite scenes from the film! Yes, yes, you’re welcome, and also, we ham it up like the idiots we are. In the spoiler section, our first segment is called Trademark Tarantino. Here, we breakdown the iconic scenes that Tarantino has become known for & how he made his name. Of course, as we did with Pixar, we dive into the screenwriting principles on display & discuss Quentin Tarantino’s advice to screenwriters. In the midst of all the newness though, we must also address the problems in our typical worst scenes segment, & this is a loaded one. Tarantino’s films are controversial for many reasons, and we certainly need to tackle how & why these films are much maligned. But then we also must add an 8th & final new segment, and that’s the Easter Eggs of the Tarantino-Verse. Here, we connect this film to all his others & describe some of the more clever clues he drops throughout the script, etc… to deepen his world. It’s a fully loaded review, and we hope you come back for many more as we build up to July’s release of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood! What do you think of Reservoir Dogs? We wanna know.
