Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht says offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs is a part of the team's long-term future and offensive coordinator Dave Canales comments on offensive line depth.

We all expected the Bucs to exercise Wirfs' fifth-year option, and it's a good thing they did. But, like it has with linebacker Devin White, could that option become a point of contention next offseason?

Given the trajectory Wirfs' playing career has been on, it certainly could.
