Greetings Heathens! So much has happened since we were last together. Giving us all structure and a good start to our week, Eric and Vi are back again this week! Our dynamic duo remotely comes together every Sunday though to bring you more Talk Heathen, and we love them for it! First up, we have Corey from South Carolina. He posits that coincidences, fate, and historical events that repeat themselves prove God. Claims that 9-11 and cancer are related in some way. Careful Corey, you’re getting into conspiracy theory and anecdotal evidence territory...Next up, Tom in California is wondering how to offer condolences to Atheists who have lost loved ones. Eric and Vi both say “What can I do, what do you need from me, and how can I help you through this?” Please avoid saying “They are in a better place or you will be reunited when you pass.”John in Georgia called in to talk about how babies in the bible were killed, that it was ok because God, and they were sent immediately to Hell. Ooooof. This call might be a bit wild… Seth is calling from Texas asking about and wanting to discuss bodily autonomy and a possible counter argument. Also wondering about the morality of abortion. Vi asks all the important questions and puts it into perspective for him.Chewy in Tennessee is next up asking about how secular and non-religious communities can have the same togetherness as theist communities. He is surprised to find out there are a lot of communities that come together to help each other. It’s not just a religious thing, it’s a human thing.Perry and Holly are calling in to let us know how grateful they are for Talk Heathen and the ACA community. Our community is amazing because folks like you are in it!Kevin in New York claims the undiscovered Planet X is proof of God. Science Fiction be damned! It has a very large orbit, therefore God. WHAT?? He goes on to say that “every time it swings by, it causes strange natural things to occur here on Earth.” Again WHAT???Our next caller, Devon in Nebraska, is questioning faith and is wondering about the best methods to letting go of religious teaching. They’ve called into AXP before and are looking to continue the conversation.Joshua from Canada is concerned about the indoctrination experienced by being a Jehovah’s Witness. He is completely despondent and very regretful of his past. There are a lot of resources out there, especially for ex-JWs. Lloyd Evans:
