Welcome back to the show Thomas, did you bring tacos?!Let’s get to calls. The first caller is Brian from Oregon. The answer is 42. Just kidding, Brian brings up a couple scenarios of how to use hypnosis when talking with believers and experiences. Listen in to hear Thomas and Vi talk through this call.Next up, Moldred from New York would like to talk about how there are differences between religion (which is a top down hierarchy) and spirituality (which is a bottom up). Listen in to hear Vi and Thomas break this down. The following caller named Owen from Oregon is concerned about how there is a lot of biased evidence provided by the Catholic church and is making him wondering what is true. Vi and Thomas have a great conversation about this. The next caller in the queue is Ameet from New York wanting to discuss an event that occurred during the holidays with his parents. His parents are concerned with his marriage prospects due to his atheism. Is it wrong to be loud about one’s atheism? NO it’s not wrong! Ameet, it does get better, keep staying true to yourself.Next up is a returning caller, Josh in Texas would like to know if there were theists whose views we came to respect. Absolutely, as long as there is honesty going both ways, there can be common ground reached. Afterwards we have Brandon from Arizona. He has justification for Hell. Claims every single sin is punishable by eternal torture and torment in Hell and Jesus died for our sins to save us from Hell. But why though? Yeah, let’s eternally punish people for finite crimes, that sounds fair. /sWe finally are able to talk to Patricia from New York, she is concerned about her brother raising children within a religious faith and is wondering how she can help lessen the chance of indoctrination. Vi provides the best answer and a quote: “The best way to bridge this gap is to have them learn about all the religions.” — Darrel Ray.Our last caller of the day is Nick in Wisconsin. Discussing how he disagrees with Vi not bowing their head during holiday dinner prayers. He says he would have handled it differently, and sees it as being slightly disrespectful to their family. It truly comes down to a point of respect (like in a place of worship) but in a family home, it’s different and you should be allowed to be yourself.
