This week on the Sunny in Phoenix Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich discuss the Suns recent injury updates, last week's games against the Rockets, Jazz, Clippers, and Wizards, and next week's games against the Rockets, Heat, Kings, and Spurs.
The Suns have recently been blessed with the return of Frank Kaminsky, who is now out of the health-and-safety protocol. Will Frank make a stunning return back into the starting lineup? Or more realistically, can we expect to see Kaminsky get some regular playing time as we head into the playoffs. Abdel Nader has been on the injury report for a couple weeks, and the guys are curious if he'll have a spot in the rotation when he returns, due to the acquisition and solid play from Torrey Craig.
After that, the guys break down last week, where the Suns went 3-1. The Phoenix and Utah matchup may have been the most entertaining game of this NBA season, and the guys talk about what stood out the most. Obviously, we take the opportunity to talk about Devin Booker vs Donovan Mitchell, and why Devin Booker is the better player. The guys also discuss the tough loss to the Clippers which happened the following night.
Then next weeks games are discussed, where the Suns will take on the Rockets, Heat, Kings, and Spurs. This is a nice homestand for the team before they head out on a roadtrip next week. Winning three of these games this week would put the Suns at 40 wins before 20 losses, making them an "elite" team.
