On this week's episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich talk about Devin Booker's big week that lead to him becoming the NBA Western Conference Player of the Week. After that, the guys talk about the return of Chris Paul to the lineup, and then review last week's games, and preview this week's three games.
Devin Booker has been on an absolute tear lately, and it was good enough to earn him NBA Western Conference Player of the Week. Booker averaged 37 points and 6 assists per game on 58% FG shooting and 43% from downtown. Booker continues to put up these huge numbers despite Chris Paul returning to the lineup.
Paul looks like he hasn't missed a beat since returning from his thumb surgery. He went for 17 points and 13 assists in his first game back against the Nuggets, and followed that up with 19 points and 14 assists against the 76ers. Despite winning plenty of games without him, the Suns look much more balanced with CP3 back in charge and running the point.
The Suns swept the week, beating Timberwolves, Nuggets, and 76ers. This week the Suns have three road games, against the Warriors, Grizzlies, and Thunder. The Warriors and Grizzlies are both a bit banged up as we close out the regular season, and this could be the week where the Suns break their franchise record for most wins in a season.
Thanks for tuning in, and Go Suns!
