Submit ReviewToday I have my daughter Olivia on discussing what it was like to be 8 years old and experience moving to a new place, from Alaska to Reno, NV. She thought it was awful - the desert, it smelled weird. Then 9 months later her dad and I divorced, she had to make new friends over and over, experienced head lice and asked to have her head shaved (big mistake), and was on a baseball team - the only girl, with short hair, who hated baseball.
We also discuss sibling dynamics, how much as a child she wanted to speak up but didn't think it would matter, protecting siblings, being introverted, giving away her "pretties", and always wanting to help the underdog. We discuss church, therapy, learning forgiveness, taking space, and how hard it sometimes is to have better relationships.
I'm so proud of Olivia! This was an emotional interview and topic and she's amazing.
