With the two-week halt on flights from India about to expire, the government is considering whether to create a traffic-light system to pause flights from countries particularly affected by Covid-19. But a modeller working on the question of how to predict where cases might come from says that's easier said than done. Professor Michael Plank is a professor of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Canterbury and Principal Investigator at Te Punaha Matatini.
