When COVID-19 began to ravage the world, many health experts compared it to the 1918 Spanish Flu. What are the similarities? Nearly 100 years ago, the United States was nearing the end of the First World War. A strange illness appeared overseas that took out soldiers. Not long after, it came to America and created a pandemic the likes of which hadn’t been seen for centuries. It was The Spanish Flu, a deadly contagious virus that no one was prepared for.
