Superheroes are the biggest thing right, but this show will make you say "F**K SUPES!" The Boys is a superhero Amazon series based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. Developed by Eric Kripke, The Boys follows a team of vigilantes as they fight back against superpowered people who abuse their abilities. Comiczone’s Gareth and Adam checked out all eight episodes from this first season (which has already been renewed for a second). They'll talk the adaption, the characters, and the comic in which it came from. The Seven are a group of superpowered heroes owned by Vought International, led by the egotistical and unstable Homelander (Antony Starr). Outside of their heroic personas, most are arrogant and corrupt. The Boys, led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), are vigilantes looking to keep the corrupted heroes under control. A conflict ensues between the two groups as we are introduced to new members of each team. After his girlfriend is killed in a high speed collision by a Supe, Hugh "Hughie" Campbell (Jack Quaid) joins the vigilantes, and Annie January / Starlight (Erin Moriarty) is the Seven's newest recruit.
