The Lakers face some serious challenges in rebuilding a championship caliber team. If the goal is still to maximize LeBron James, is the best way to do that by trading Anthony Davis? What exactly would that look like? What kind of return could the Lakers get? Would they be better off targeting another established star, or would it be better to try to use Davis to find two or three young starting caliber players? Depth, you may remember, was a problem for the Lakers this year.

Those questions, and more, are at the core of Part II of the conversation with Daman Rangoola (@damanr), a huge favorite on Lakers Twitter and a must follow for Lakers fans.

HOSTS: Andy and Brian Kamenetzky with Guest Daman Rangoola

SEGMENT 1: How Davis disappointed in multiple ways this season, and calls into question whether he should be counted on to be the superstar that the Lakers build around once LeBron is gone. Especially if he's not going to be on the floor for more than 50 games a season. Is this the best way to build depth on the team?

SEGMENT 2: Could the Lakers do better by getting players who aren't as good as Davis, but are more reliably available? Does it matter that the Lakers don't get "equal" value at least insofar as star power goes? And kicking off some trade hypotheticals.

SEGMENT 3: More trade hypotheticals. If you're going to move him, do you have to get the idea of the "ideal" Anthony Davis out of your head, when it comes to assessing what a good or bad trade looks like? Ultimately, are they just better off sticking with what they have?
