The Carolina Panthers signed RB Christian McCaffrey to a lengthy extension in April of 2020, making McCaffrey the highest-paid RB in the NFL. Since then McCaffrey has missed 16 of the team's 22 games and signs point to him missing more time in 2021 as he currently sits on IR. Did the Panthers make a mistake in extending him?
