The San Francisco Giants desperately needed to sign some players, especially in the wake of Shohei Ohtani electing to sign with the Dodgers on a ridiculous 10-year, $700 million contract. Per reports, they've done just that, inking 25-year-old Korean star Jung Hoo Lee to a six-year deal worth $113 million.

Lee is exactly the kind of offensive and defensive player the Giants need. He's young, he's athletic. He has incredible bat-to-ball skills. He's a plus runner with above-average range and a plus arm. He immediately brings intrigue to a stale SF Giants team.

In other news, Shohei Ohtani signed with the LA Dodgers. It wasn't exactly a shock, until everyone saw the contract. And even then, people weren't truly shocked until they saw the structure of the contract: $680 million of the $700 million is deferred, meaning Shohei Ohtani will only make $20 million total in his 10-year deal with the devil. Er, we mean, the Dodgers.
