New Jersey Democratic Senator,Bob Menéndez, is the Senior United States Senator from New Jersey since 2006 and being born in New York City, to Cuban immigrant parents, just a few months after arriving from the island, then growing up in a tenement building in Union City, to ultimately become a US Senator- he understands why so many come to America in search of a better future for their family. It has shaped his politics for 25 years! Recently, immigration has become an ugly word, yet so many immigrants contribute to our country's strength, he being one of them, which is why he won't stop crossing the aisle to drop some wisdom (and Cubanisms) on his colleagues for the benefit of all. He also talks about the importance of bipartisanship, science, how to internationalize the Cuba issue and why he won’t stop singing Guantanamera.
