Welcome back to another episode of Locked on Seminoles! Drake and Dave discuss the news of WR Malik McClain departing via the transfer portal, and Clemson’s hiring of Garrett Riley from TCU as its offensive coordinator and re-hiring of Jeff Scott as an analyst, and take their turn laughing at the debacle down in Gainesville with Jaden Rashada.
First, Drake and Dave discuss the news that wide receiver Malik McClain will be playing football elsewhere next year after entering his name into the transfer portal, and explain why his loss shouldn’t hurt the Seminoles in 2023 given the logjam and embarrassment of riches currently at the WR position with Johnny Wilson, Mycah Pittman, Winston Wright, and others.
Then, the guys discuss the news that Clemson has fired its offensive coordinator Brandon Streeter, and appears to be hiring Broyles award winning OC Garrett Riley from TCU for the same position, as well as bringing back former OC Jeff Scott as an analyst, and offer their view of what this could mean for Clemson and Florida State’s forthcoming clashes with the Tigers.
Finally, they join in the fun of laughing at the mess that currently is Florida Gators football, as 5* QB commit Jaden Rashada has evidently asked to be released from his letter of intent after not receiving the millions of dollars of NIL money he was promised.
As always, thanks for making Locked on Seminoles your first listen each and every day. We thank y'all for all the love and support and hope you enjoy the show.
