Michèle Flournoy served as the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy from 2009 to 2012, making her, at the time of her appointment, the highest-ranking woman in the history of the Pentagon. She’s also the founder of the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), a prominent national security think tank, and the Managing Partner of WestExec Advisors, a geopolitical strategic consultancy. She and Preet discuss what it will take to modernize the military, the threats of Russia and China, and what it was like to be in the Situation Room during the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound.  Plus, Preet explains the role of magistrate judges in approving search warrants and breaks down the difference between a warrant and an affidavit.  For show notes and a transcript of the episode, head to: https://cafe.com/stay-tuned/search-warrants-the-state-of-the-world-with-michele-flournoy/  Tweet your questions to @PreetBharara with hashtag #askpreet, email us at letters@cafe.com, or call 669-247-7338 to leave a voicemail.
