Submit ReviewKenny Munoz has scouted the Four Corners for the Royals since 2006, when he joined an organization he had many personal ties to. Munoz was a teammate of Royals assistant GM J.J. Piccolo and scouting director Lonnie Goldberg at George Mason in the early 1990s, where the coaching staff included current Royals GM Dayton Moore.
Munoz scouted and signed outfielder Kyle Isbel out of UNLV in 2018. When Isbel made his major league debut on Opening Day, it gave Munoz his first big leaguer.
Munoz recently joined BA’s Scout Series podcast to discuss his days at George Mason, what he saw in Isbel in college and what it felt like when Isbel get his first major league hit.
