The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returned with two enthralling Interim Title bouts this weekend. Brawling for the Interim Lightweight Title, on a thirteen fight winning streak, Max “Blessed” Holloway, the “Top Fan Favorite MMA Fighter”, whose last loss was to Conor McGregor at UFC FN 26 on the 17th of August, way back in 2013, took on Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier on a four fight winning streak TONIGHT (April 13, 2019), at the highly anticipated UFC 236 PPV event on ESPN from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Max made the jump to 155 for his chance at revenge against Poirier, who handed him his first Pro MMA loss, it didn't prove to be a triumphant move, although he fought a superfluous war nonetheless. The co-main consisted of a Interim Middleweight Title fight over Robert Whittaker’s title, featuring MMA artists Kelvin Gastelum, who last fought and won against both Ronaldo Souza and Michael Bisping, up against Israel ‘The Last Stylebender’ Adesanya, aka: the “#5 Current Best MMA Middleweight Fighter”, who came into this battle on a sixteen fight winning streak. Gastelum failed to break that streak, despite a valiant effort on his part.
