On today's Locked On Giants podcast, host Ben Kaspick discusses the San Francisco Giants' weekend series win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Giants entered this critical season series finale with first place on the line, and they left town back in first place after winning two of three. Anthony DeSclafani was fantastic on Friday, bucking the trend of getting beat up by the Dodgers. Jake McGee blew a 9th-inning save chance, but the Giants won the grinding game on an extra-innings error by Trea Turner. The Giants went with bullpen games on Saturday and Sunday. The first one didn't go well, but on Sunday the 'pen out-piched Walker Buehler on Sunday Night Baseball. Steven Duggar, recalled prior to the game and in the starting lineup, had a huge two-run triple early on, and the Giants never looked back.
