Sage Adams on being a young, Black, queer creative

At just 19 Sage Adams became the creative director on singer-songwriter SZA’s 2017 smash album “Ctrl”—all because of an Instagram DMs. A gender non-conforming artist and curator, Adams still works with SZA as well as brands like Nike and Facebook. They are also  a founder of Art Hoe Collective, a platform that promotes works by queer artists of color and other marginalized people. Adams is currently at work on a play, written with their mother.
