Wide Mouth Mason brought their storm of blues and funk out of Saskatchewan like a prairie blizzard, and have continued to adapt with the winds that have directed them. In 2000 the group released their highly regarded, Juno nominated album ‘Stew’, which has been the groups funkiest album to date. Safwan Javed of WMM joins the DTP to tell us about ‘Stew’s 20 year anniversary and the road that led to its creation, what Gordie Johnson brought to the table as a producer, and opening for AC/DC.  We also discuss the groups 2019 album ‘I Wanna Go With You’ which sees WMM taking on a much more classic blues vibe, so what influenced this decision, how has their stage show changed, and so much more in this episode of the Desert Tiger Podcast.
