Sad Summer continued this past week as the hockey world lost 5 more brothers. Jarom and Tanner talk about the passing of New York Rangers Legend Rod Gilbert and the tragic passing of three junior players Caleb Reimer, Ronin Sharma, and Parker Magnuson, and they try to wrap their head around the sudden passing of former Chicago Blackhawk Jimmy Hayes who Patrick Kane called the greatest teammate he ever had. (2:30-14:10) Evander Kane is in the news again as he picks up another Scumbag of the week award, Jarom says not to talk about it but then goes ahead and breaks down why he is lucky enough to get this award again. (14:11-16:24) Switching gears to Hawks Talk the guys break down the news of MacKenzie Entwistle signing a two year extension that will see him rocking the Hawks sweater through the 2023-2024 season and why this is a great bottom six signing. Focus gets switched over to new players means new numbers! Tyler Johnson, Jake McCabe, and Jujhar Khaira get their new numbers in a social media post that went viral because someone forget to spell check Marc-Andre Fleury before posting the imagine on social. Speaking of MAF going viral, video of him just stopping a 5-0 made its rounds on the internet and all the guys can say is lets go! (16:25-27:30) Elvis Merzļikins who promised to give his son the middle name of Matiss in honor of the goalie giving his life to save him and his wife stayed true to his word when he welcomed Knox Matiss Merzlikins to the world and had a hilarious story to go with it. (27:33-29:35) Henrik Lundqvist announced his retirement from the NHL after 15 amazing season and the only thing missing from his list of achievements is a Stanley Cup. This gave the guys this weeks Starting Line Up theme... Best players to never when a Stanley Cup. The Guys made their picks from retired players and were not allowed to select Hank. (29:36-45:05) Finally the guys see an interesting question on R/hockey,, what recorded seems like it can be realistically broken?
