The oyster production areas of Coffin Bay have been closed by the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) as a precautionary measure as part of an ongoing investigation into a recent rise in Vibrio parahaemolyticus (gastro) cases Wheat supply shortages globally as well as possible export restrictions out of Russia and weather damaged crop in Australia has pushed wheat prices to some of the highest prices ever seen at harvest. More than 200 citrus trees have been stolen from a farm near Waikerie. Managing director of Nippy's Jeff Knispel says they were taken several days after planting. The company has notified police.
