It's been a couple of weeks since our last show but Rebecca & Alex have been working on some exciting things behind the scenes; as well as watching lots of football as usual. We catch up on the positives of the international break (ie. Scotland qualifying for the Euros) before chatting about the long list of negatives, primarily the number of injuries and positive COVID-19 tests over the last couple of weeks from playing largely pointless international matches. Naturally, that leads us onto Liverpool and their current injury crisis. We chat about how they'll deal with the absences going forward, as well as looking back at some of the talking points which came out of the 1-1 draw against Manchester City, from the ongoing Firmino and Jota debate to Pep and Klopp's five substitutions discussion - and yes, Alex does celebrate his wild prediction about the game actually coming true! We also discuss the form of Man City and Tottenham ahead of their fascinating showdown this weekend. Pep Guardiola has signed a new deal at Man City but Mourinho will fancy playing spoiler as he celebrates his one year anniversary at Spurs. And we catch up on some of the big talking points from the last couple of weeks, including the media vs Marcus Rashford & Mason Greenwood, Thiago Silva's worrying comments about headaches, yet more VAR offside nonsense, and Greg Clarke's comments which cost him his job as FA Chairman & the importance of educating yourself. Plus, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney buy Wrexham AFC, the Mo Salah COVID discourse, a lack of protection for players, poisonous animals at football matches, will Messi go to Man City, Harry Kane for Tottenham vs Harry Kane for England, karaoke with the Firminos, Ziyech in pink, the Formation King, warming a heated seat, the healing powers of a wet blue paper towel, 'wee jobbies', the US Election results, Justice for Hermine, why Noah is bad at maths, Rebecca's clocks theory, and how Alex is a victim of his own success. **Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts, as it makes it easier for other potential listeners to find us.
