Submit ReviewDrag queens and kings have become one of the more public representations of the LGBTQ community. But beyond the polished acts seen through mass media, drag can be something deeply personal and raw. This week, we're joined by Untitled Queen, a drag artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Untitled's work uses drag as performance art to both construct and deconstruct different facets of his identity.
Untitled shares with us all the behind-the-scenes of his journey with drag. We talk about his childhood growing up on Governor's Island, all the way to his beginnings in drag. Along the way, we discuss how the drag scene has changed since he started, and how drag can be a powerful tool to explore self-identity. Finally, Untitled gives some parting advice for those of us about to embark on new creative ventures.
Follow Untitled Queen on Instagram at @untitledqueen and check out his various shows on his YouTube channel.
